Homer Thompson Sackett, son of Alfred Sackett and Permelia Varvell, was born in San Luis Obispo, CaliforniaG, on 10 May 1860.1 He died aged 78 in La Grange, Stanislaus County, CaliforniaG, on 7 November 1938. He married at Wilmington, Los Angeles County, CaliforniaG, on 30 November 1887, Annie O Zin.2
     In 1880 Homer was living at Los Nietos, Los Angeles County, CaliforniaG, in the household of his widowed mother Permelia Sackett, and was recorded in the census as Homer T Sackett, 'works farm', aged 20 and born in California.1
