Martha Diana Sackett, known as Diana, daughter of Lieutenant Martin Sacket and Miriam Bancroft, was born in Chenango County, New York StateG, on 25 May 1810.1,2 She died aged 68 in Hebron, McHenry County, IllinoisG, on 9 May 1879.1,3 She married on 7 September 1831, William Tower, a farmer, son of ___ Tower and Abigail Bates.1 William was born in Washington County, MassachusettsG, on 20 May 1802.2
In 1850 Martha was living in HebronG in the household of her husband William, 48, a farmer, and was recorded in the census as Diana Tower, aged 40 and born in New York. Their daughter Mary, 15, was living with them.4
