Mary Sackett, daughter of Richard Sackett and Mary ___, was born in Dover, Dutchess County, New York StateG, about 1742.1 She died aged 74 on 18 June 1817 and was buried at St James Episicopal Church Cemetery, Arlington, Bennington County, VermontG.3,4 She married at New Milford, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, on 6 April 1758, Israel Canfield, son of Azariah Canfield and Mercy Bassett.2 Israel was born about 1733.1 He died aged 94 on 20 March 1827 and was buried at St James Episicopal Church CemeteryG.3,5
     Mary was named as a beneficiary in her father's will made on 1 January 1771.6
