Richard Sackett, son of Joseph Sackett and Hannah Budson, was born in Greenwich, Fairfield County, ConnecticutG, on 7 June 1754.1,2 He married in Rye, Westchester County, New York StateG, on 1 April 1782, Tabitha Smith.2,3
In 1790 Richard was living in Bedford, Westchester County, New York StateG. In his household were two men, one boy, and three females.4
Richard was appointed an executor of the will (made in 1798) of his cousin Colonel Richard Sackett, to serve jointly with Colonel Richard's sons Nathaniel and Caleb.
Richard was listed in the 1800 census as a householder in BedfordG.5
