Mary Thornton, daughter of William Henry Thornton and Ann Swinford, was born in Thanet, KentG, in 18521 and died there in infancy in June 1859.2
Mary was named as a beneficiary in her great-aunt Mary Sackett's will made in St John in Thanet, KentG, on 14 August 1855. In the event the young Mary predeceased her great-aunt. A codicil to the will transferred the bequests to her mother Ann.3
