Starr Dennison Van Buren, son of Harmon Van Buren and Electa Sackett, was born in New York StateG about 1838.1
     In 1850 Starr was living in Gouverneur, St Lawrence County, New York StateG, in the household of his parents Harmon and Electa, and was recorded in the census as Starr D Van Buren, aged twelve and born in New York.2
     In 1860 he was living in Sterling, Whiteside County, IllinoisG, and was recorded as Dennison Van Buren, a farm laborer, aged 23.3
