DeWitt Asher Sackett, son of Henry Sackett and Laura A Holton, was born in Assyria, Barry County, MichiganG, on 17 February 1859.1 He died aged 75 in Fennville, Allegan County, MichiganG, on 29 May 1934.2 He married in Ganges, Allegan CountyG, on 31 October 1888, Jennie Vanderhill.3 Jennie was born about 1868.4
     In 1860 DeWitt was living in Assyria, Barry County, MichiganG, in the household of his parents Henry and Laura, and was recorded in the census as Dewit A Sackett, aged one and born in Michigan.5
     In 1870 he was living in AssyriaG in the household of his parents Henry and Laura, and was recorded as Dewitte Sackett, aged eleven.6
