Emily Gleason, daughter of Edwin Gleason and Lucretia Sackett, was born in Chautauqua County, New York StateG, on 1 November 1830.1,2 She married John Lovejoy.1 John was born in Chautauqua CountyG in about 1829.1,2
     In 1850 Emily was living in Harmony, Chautauqua County, New York StateG, in the household of her parents Edwin and Lucretia, and was recorded in the census as Emily Gleason, aged 19.3
     In 1855 Emily was living in HarmonyG and was recorded in the census as Emily Lovejoy, aged 24 and born in Chautauqua County. She was living with her husband John Lovejoy, 26, in the household of her parents Edwin and Lucretia Gleason.4
