James Blakeslee, son of Manning Blakeslee and Olive Sacket, was born in Russell, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, in about 1834.1 He died aged 72 in Westfield, Hampden CountyG, on 8 April 1907 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, WestfieldG.2
     In 1850 James was living in Russell, Hampden CountyG, in the household of his mother Olive, and was recorded in the census as James Blakesley, aged 14 and born in Massachusetts.3
