Richard A. Sackett, 91, of Greensburg, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, in Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant. He was born Aug. 12, 1930, in White Valley, a son of the late Vittorio and Josephine (Enrico) Sackett. Prior to retirement, he had been a machinist for Elliott Company, Jeannette. Richard was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant granddaughter, Ana Elizabeth Lwowski; four brothers; and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Marian Sackett; six children, Gloria Bishop (Frank), Debbie Raviart, Vickie Hassall (Tom), Victor Sackett (Diana), Rick Sackett (Annette) and Chris Lwowski; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Stella Sackett; and several nieces and nephews. A private funeral liturgy was held at the Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home Inc., 516 Stanton St., Greensburg. Private interment took place in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. www.bachafh.com.

Marian Sackett obituary
Marian "Dolly" (DeMarino) Sackett, 92, of Greensburg, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2022, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Dec. 18, 1930, in Devon, Pa., Chester County. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. She graduated in 1948 from Latrobe High School and earned a degree from The Business Careers Institute of Greensburg. She was formerly employed by Greensburg Salem School District and loved babysitting her grandchildren. Marian was a polio survivor and a longtime volunteer for the Mother's March of Dimes and the Cancer Society of Greensburg. She was an avid reader who loved watching old movies, watching sports (Pirates especially), daily crossword puzzles and most of all she loved her family. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Richard Sr; son-in-law, Tom Hassall; infant granddaughter, Anna Lwowski; and eight brothers and sisters. Marian is survived by her children, Gloria Bishop (Frank), Debbie Raviart, Vickie Hassall, Victor Sackett (Diana), Richard Jr. (Annette) and Chris Lwowski (Michael); and several brothers, sisters and special cousins. Marian is also survived and greatly missed by her 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A private funeral liturgy was held at the Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home Inc., 516 Stanton St., Greensburg.
