Dorothy Maxine Sackett, daughter of Mathew Dunham Sackett and Bertha Belle King, was born on 31 July 1917.1 She was baptized at Richland Center Presbyterian Church, Monticello, Jones County, IowaG, on 20 June 1926.1
     In 1920 Dorothy was living in Scotch Grove, Jones CountyG, in the household of her parents Mathew and Bertha, and was recorded in the census as Dorothy M Sackett, aged two and born in Iowa.2
