Samuel Bloir Greenlee, son of Samuel Greenlee and Minerva Kezia Sacket, was born in North CarolinaG on 31 December 1826.1,2 He died aged 38 on 17 July 1865.1 He was unmarried.
     In 1850 Samuel was living in Morganton, Burke County, North CarolinaG, in the household of his mother Minerva, and was recorded in the census as Saml P Greenlee, a farmer, aged 22 and born in North Carolina. Samuel owned eight slaves, five males aged from two to 45 and three females aged 18 to 19.3,4
