Albert and Rosetta apparently lived in Brooklyn from the time of their marriage until about 1853, when they bought a farm in upstate New York at Geneva. They sold their farm in 1868 and moved to Manhattan where they opened Chellborg's Restaurant and Bakery.
In 1860 Rosetta was living in Seneca, Ontario County, New York StateG, in the household of her husband Albert, 48, a farmer, and was recorded in the census as Rosetta Chellborg, aged 43 and born in New York. There were ten others in the household: six male bakers, two female domestic servants, and two females, occupation unspecified but perhaps employed in the bakery.4
