Raymond Fenton Sackett, son of Fenton Elton Sackett and Neva Sorine Stauffer, was born in Winnebago, Faribault County, MinnesotaG, on 29 January 1941.1,2 He died aged 71 at Storm Lake, Buena Vista County, IowaG, on 23 June 2012 and was buried at St Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery, Schaller, Sac County, IowaG.1,4 He married in Forest City, Meeker County, MinnesotaG, on 23 April 1960, Rose Christle, daughter of Daniel Peter Christle and Mildred Margaret Arens.3 Rose was born in Eden Valley, Meeker CountyG, on 23 November 1942.5,6 She died aged 81 in SchallerG on 8 December 2023.5

Schaller, Iowa | Ray Sackett, 71, of Schaller died Saturday, June 23, 2012, in Storm Lake, Iowa.
     Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Schaller. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Schaller. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a rosary at 5 p.m., at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller.

Raymond F. Sackett, age 71, of Schaller, Iowa died June 23, 2012 at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.
     Raymond F. Sackett was born January 29, 1941 in Winnebago, Minnesota the son of Fenton and Neva (Stauffer) Sackett. Growing up, he attended school in Madelia, Minnesota and graduated from Grove City High School. Ray was baptized at the Methodist Church and became a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Schaller on June 20, 2012.
     On April 23, 1960, Ray was united in marriage to Rose Christle in Forest City, Minnesota.
     After a brief stint in farming, Ray began trucking and then became an owner/operator in 1982. Ray enjoyed car racing in his younger year and later watching his grandson race. He loved spending time with family and watching his grandchildren's ballgames.
     Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rose of Schaller, Iowa; children: Allen (Donna) Sackett of Schaller, Iowa; Richard (Pamela) Sackett of Schaller, Iowa; Tammy Jeckell of Schaller, Iowa; grandchildren: Benjamin (fiancé, Sarah) Sackett; Justin (Alyssa) Sackett; Emily Sackett; Shannon (Justin) Meseck; Nick Sackett; Daniel Jeckell; step grandchildren: Thad (Ambia) Jeckell; Jesse (Shawn) Wiese; great grandchildren: Keira Mae and Oliver Sackett; Isabella and Dexter Meseck; step great grandchildren: Tristin Jeckell; Kylie, Alexa and Carter Wiese; brothers: Marvin (Peggy) Sackett of Atwater, Minnesota; Marlin (Gwen) Sackett of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; David (Michelle) Sackett of Grove City, Minnesota; extended family and many friends.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Nonanette Sackett; son-in-law, Rick Jeckell; father and mother-in-law, Daniel and Mildred Christle; step great granddaughter, Karlie Wiese.

Rose Sackett, age 81, of Schaller, Iowa passed away peacefully December 8, 2023 at her home.
There will be no services held at this time. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
     Rose was born at home in Eden Valley, Minnesota. Rose was the daughter of Daniel and Mildred (Arens) Christle. Growing up she attended Meeker County Country school through grade school and later attended high school at Eden Valley High School. Rose was baptized at Forest City Catholic Church. On April 23, 1960, Rose was united in marriage to Raymond (Ray) Fenton Sackett. Together they were blessed with three children: Allen, Richard (Rick), and Tammy.
     Ray and Rose worked on the Sackett family farm in Minnesota briefly before moving to Newell, Iowa. Rose worked as a seamstress sewing Levi Jeans until their youngest daughter was born when she left the workforce to stay home with the children. Ray and Rose last moved to Schaller when Ray got a job at Pyle Trucking. Rose worked at Consolidated Popcorn Company for a number of years. Once the children got older, they became owner operators of "Ray and Rose Sackett Trucking" and Rose joined Ray on the road for a few years under the CB Handle as "Mountain Dew" and him as "Flipper."
     Rose attended church almost every week for many years at the Schaller Catholic Church until it closed. She later attended the Catholic Church in Storm Lake until her passing.
     After being on the road with Ray, Rose got a job at Casey's in Storm Lake. Her longest and by far favorite job. Rose loved working at Casey's. She worked there for almost 25 years. She enjoyed all the customers and the employees she worked with. After working at Casey's until her retirement she worked at Sodexo-USA for a couple years. She enjoyed all the college kids as well until her health no longer allowed. After working at Sodexo-USA she enjoyed volunteering at the SOS as they needed her.
     Rose enjoyed her grandchildren and going to their events and will be missed by many. Those left to cherish her memory include: Rick (Pam) Sackett of Schaller, Iowa; Tammy Jeckell of Schaller, Iowa; Donna Sackett (Daughter-In-Law) of Schaller, Iowa; Sister; Linda Christle Dunedin, FL; grandchildren: Benjamin (Sarah) Sackett; Justin (Alyssa) Sackett; Emily (Zack) Martin; Shannon Meseck; Nick (Ashley) Sackett; Daniel (Morgan) Jeckell; step grandchildren: Thad Jeckell; Jesse (Erik) Wiese Schroeter; great grandchildren: Keira and Oliver Sackett; Isabella, Dexter, Violette, Cyrus Meseck; Kayla & Sabrina Werneburg; Noah Martin; Lilly, Kade, Matt Sackett; great great grandchild; Russell Ehrman; step great grandchildren: Tristin and Keira Jeckell; Kylie, Alexa and Carter Wiese; extended family and many friends. Rose was preceded in death by her spouse Raymond Sackett, parents; sisters: Corrine Rangeloff, Joyce Christle (infancy); Son; Allen Sackett; son-in-law, Rick Jeckell; Brothers: Edward (Doug) Christle, Daniel Christle; Brothers-in-Law: Bud Rangeloff, David Sackett; Sister-In-Law Michelle Sackett; father and mother-in-law, Fenton and Neva Sackett; step great granddaughter, Karlie Wiese (infancy).
