Clarence Edward Sackett, son of Cyrus James Sackett and Violetta Trout, was born in Marine, Madison County, IllinoisG, on 31 March 1901.1 He died there aged 78 on 31 May 1979.1 He married Katherine Mathilda Schrumpf. Katherine was born on 9 August 1902.1 She died aged 87 on 7 June 1990.1
In 1950 Clarence was living in Old Ripley, Bond County, IllinoisG, and was recorded in the census as Clarence E Sackett, a farmer, aged 49 and born in Illinois. Living with him were his wife Katherine, 47, and their children, Varel, 20, Marvin, 16, Udell, 14, Paul, 12, Ruth, 7, and Mary, aged four.2
