Ellen W Sackett, daughter of Hervey Sackett and Patty Lovice Beach, was born in ConnecticutG in 1840.1,2 She died aged about 56 in 18963 and was buried at Montowese Cemetery, North Haven, ConnecticutG.4 She married at North HavenG on 5 December 1861, Charles M Barnes.5 Charles was born in 1836.4 He died aged about 80 in 1917 and was buried at Montowese CemeteryG.4
     In 1850 Ellen was living in North HavenG in the household of her parents Harvey and Patty, and was recorded in the census as Ellen W Sackett, aged nine and born in Connecticut.6
     In 1860 she was living in North HavenG in the household of her parents Harvey and Patty, and was recorded as Ellen Sackett, aged 19.7
     In 1870 she was living in North HavenG in the household of her husband Charles Barnes, 34, a carpenter, and was recorded as Ellen W Barnes, aged 29. Their son Arthur, aged four, was living with them.8
     In 1880 she was living in North HavenG in the household of her husband Charles, 46, a blacksmith, and was recorded as Ellen Barnes, aged 42. Living with them were their children, Arthur, 12, and Florolen, aged four.9
