     In 1891 Charles was living at 19 Allen Street, Newington, LondonG, in the household of his parents Charles and Emma, and was recorded in the census as Charles Simmons, aged seven and born in Walworth.3
     In 1901 he was living at 7 Crosslet Street, Southwark, LondonG, in the household of his parents Charles and Emma, and was recorded as Charles Simmons, an errand boy, aged 17.4
