Hattie B Sackett, daughter of Mathew Dunham Sackett and Nancy Ann Ennis, was born in Scotch Grove, Jones County, IowaG, on 7 February 1872.1,2 She died aged 81 in Monticello, Jones CountyG, on 9 December 1953 and was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, MonticelloG.3 She married first in MonticelloG on 12 January 1891, Elmer Ellsworth Huxtable, son of Thomas Huxtable and Helen Berry.4 Elmer was born in Rives, Jackson County, MichiganG, in September 1861.5,2 Hattie and Elmer divorced at Lewistown, Fergus County, MontanaG, on 29 April 1917.6 Elmer died aged about 62 in 1924 and was buried at Miracle Lodge Number 84 Cemetery, Klein, Musselshell County, MontanaG.3 Hattie married second at Cedar Rapids, Linn County, IowaG, on 8 December 1926, Fred Graham, son of James Graham and Mary Ann Farley. Fred was born in Peterborough, Ontario, CanadaG, in about 1869.2 He died aged about 77 on 28 December 1947 and was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, MonticelloG.3
In 1880 Hattie was living in Scotch Grove, IowaG, in the household of her parents Mathew and Nancy, and was recorded in the census as Hattie B Sackett, aged eight and born in Iowa.7
In 1900 she was living in Leslie, Ingham County, MichiganG, in the household of her parents-in-law Thomas and Helen Huxtable, and was recorded as Hattie Huxtable, aged 28. She was living with her husband Elmer, 38, a farmer, and their children, Harold, 8, Thomas, 6, and Ralph, aged one.8
In 1910 she was living in Onondaga, Ingham County, MichiganG, in the household of her husband Elmer, 48, a farmer, and was recorded as Hattie Huxtable, aged 38. Living with them were their children, Harold, 18, Thomas, 16, Ralph, 10, and Joseph, aged four, and Elmer's widowed mother Hellen, 67.9
In 1920 she was living in School District 46, Musselshell County, MontanaG, and was recorded as Hattie Huxtable, a farmer, head of household, widowed (she was by then divorced but not widowed), aged 47. She owned her home free of mortgage. Living with her were her sons, Thomas, 25, Joseph, 14, and Ralph, aged 20.10
In 1930 she was living in Scotch Grove, Jones County, IowaG, in the household of her second husband, Fred Graham, 59, and was recorded as Hattie Graham, aged 58. Her unmarried son Joseph, 24, was living with them.11
