Henry Thomas Sackett Murton, son of Henry Murton and Elizabeth Martha Setterfield Sackett, was born in Margate, KentG, on 8 September 1889.1,2 He died aged 81 in Thanet, KentG, in 1971.3 He married in Thanet, KentG, in 1915, Ella May Gillham.4,5

In 1901 he was living at 11 Gladstone Road, MargateG, in the household of his parents Henry and Elizabeth, and was recorded as Henry Murton, aged eleven and born in Margate.7
In 1911 he was living at 8 Jontine Street, Folkestone, KentG, in the household of Stanley Rishton, a hotel manager, and was recorded as Henry Murton, a potman, single, aged 21.8
Henry served in the First World War as a corporal in the Middlesex Regiment.9
