Frederick C Sackett, machinist, son of Cornelius Sackett and Sophia Caswell, was born in Boston, Suffolk County, MassachusettsG, in about 1871. He married in Springfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 28 February 1894, Carrie Josephine Gebo, daughter of Philip Gebo and Margaret "Maggie" Defoe.1
     In 1880 Frederick was living in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, in the household of Samuel and Lucy (Sackett) Judd, and was recorded in the census as Frederick C Sackett, aged eight and born in Massachusetts. He was described as "adopted", but with no indication of who the adoptive parents were. Lucy Sackett was a distant cousin being both a third cousin to Frederick's grandfather Moses Sackett in their Weller line and a fourth cousin in their Sackett line.2
