George Benjamin Sackett, son of Floyd William Sackett and Mary Fae Snow, was born in Hallstead, Susquehanna County, PennsylvaniaG, on 2 January 1924.1 He died aged 87 in Cambridge, Dorchester County, MarylandG, on 3 July 20111,2 and was buried at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock, Dorchester County, MarylandG.1,3 He married Margaret Louise Vandermark.4
     In 1930 George was living at Susquehanna River Road, Great Bend, Susquehanna County, PennsylvaniaG, in the household of his parents Floyd and Mary, and was recorded in the census as George B Sackett, aged six and born in Pennsylvania.5
