Catherine Sarah "Kate" Sackett, daughter of Thomas Sackett and Mary Ann Stanner, was born in Thanet, KentG, in 18561 and baptized at Holy Trinity Church, MargateG, on 2 September 1860.2 She married in ThanetG in 1876, James Knott.3,4
In 1861 Catherine was living at 28 King Street, MargateG, and was recorded in the census as Catherine Sackett, aged 3 and born in Margate, daughter of Thomas Sackett.5
In 1871 she was living at 70 King Street, MargateG, and was recorded as Catherine Sackett, a scholar aged 14 and born in Margate, daughter of Thomas Sackett.6
In 1881 she was living at 67 Dane Road, St John's, MargateG, in the household of her husband James Knoel, a grocer's assistant, aged 26, and born in Margate, and was recorded as Kate E. Knoel, aged 22, and born in Margate. Living with them were their daughters Lilian, 7, and Kate, aged one, and Catherine's unmarried sister Eliza.7
