Jay E Sackett, son of James Noble Sackett and Ursula Makepeace, was born in Livingston County, IllinoisG, on 4 February 1853.1 He died aged 79 in Joplin, Jasper County, MissouriG, on 9 January 1933.1 He married in JoplinG on 8 September 1878, Candace A J Gadd.1
     In 1860 Jay was living in Pleasant Ridge, Livingston County, IllinoisG, in the household of his parents James and Ursula, and was recorded in the census as Jay E Sacket, aged seven and born in Illinois.2
     In 1870 he was living in Pleasant Ridge, Livingston County, IllinoisG, in the household of his parents James and Ursula, and was recorded as J E Sacket, a farm laborer, aged 17.3
