Polly M Ferrington, daughter of George Washington Ferrington and Prudence Pearsall, was born in MichiganG on 5 August 1832.1,2 She died aged 68 on 4 December 19001 and was buried at St Johns Cemetery, Clinton County, MichiganG.1 She married on 4 March 1849, George F Morris, son of John Morris and Lucinda Sackett.1 Polly and George were second cousins, both being great-grandchildren of John Sackett (1747–1805) and Prudence Atherton.
     In 1860 Polly was living in Redford, Wayne County, MichiganG, in the household of her husband George, 29, a farmer, and was recorded in the census as Polly Morris, aged 27 and born in Michigan.3
     In 1870 she was living in RedfordG in the household of her husband George, 40, a farmer, and was recorded as Polly Morris, aged 37 and born in Michigan.4
     In 1880 she was living in Bingham, Clinton County, MichiganG, in the household of her husband George, 51, a farmer, and was recorded as Polly Moris, aged 47 and born in Michigan.5
     In 1900 she was living in Bingham, Clinton County, MichiganG, in the household of her son John and daughter-in-law Avis, and was recorded as Polly Morris, a widow aged 67 and born in Michigan.6
