Nellie Elaine Sackett, daughter of Stanley Sherman Sackett and Lena Frank Crosby, was born in Gobles, Van Buren County, MichiganG, on 10 December 1908.1,2 She died aged 74 at St Joseph Hospital, Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, MichiganG, in about 1983.3 She married first in Detroit, Wayne County, MichiganG, on 23 March 1928, DeForest M King, son of George Ezra King and Kate Sheridan.1,4,5 DeForest was born in Harbor Springs, Emmet County, MichiganG, on 17 November 1906.6 Nellie and DeForest were divorced in Wayne CountyG on 18 April 1946.7 DeForest subsequently married in DetroitG on 13 August 1949, Madeline A Coons.8 He died aged 65 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, ArizonaG, on 2 May 1972.9 Nellie married second in DetroitG on 2 May 1946, Martin Charles Macario, son of Peter Macario and Theresa Pieno.10 Martin was born in Calumet, Houghton County, MichiganG, in about 1906.2 Nellie and Martin were divorced in Wayne CountyG on 28 September 1948.11 She married third Donald Henry Loeher.12 He was born in DetroitG on 3 November 191412 and died there aged 63 on 5 April 1978.12
In 1910 Nellie was living at Exchange Street, Bloomingdale, Van Buren CountyG, in the household of her parents Stanley and Lena, and was recorded in the census as Elaine N Sackett, aged one year four months and born in Michigan.13
In 1920 she was living at John R Street, Detroit, Wayne County, MichiganG, in the household of her mother Lena, and was recorded as Elaine Sackett, aged twelve.14
Nellie was a student at the Central High School, Kalamazoo, MichiganG, in 1925 and was a member of the Art Club.15
In 1930 she was living at Holcomb Avenue, DetroitG, and was recorded as Elaine King, aged 21. She was living with her husband DeForest, 23, a freight biller at a steamship company, and their daughter Gloria, aged eleven months, in the household of DeForest's parents, George and Kate King.16

Glendale—DeForest M. King, 65, a member of the Teamsters Union in Detroit, died Tuesday In Phoenix Memorial Hospital.
Mr. King, 6653 W. Mary-Jane Lane, was born in Harbor Springs, Mich., and came here two years ago from White Cloud, Mich.
Survivors include his wife, Madeline; two daughters, Mrs. Gloria Spencer of Glendale and Mrs. Susan Shaw of Livonia, Mich; a son, Dennis of Madison Heights, Mich; a stepson, Robert Coons of Glendale; a sister, Mrs. Fred Grosvenor of Phoenix, and two sisters out of state.
