Ada Sackett, daughter of Gilbert Sackett and Sabra Jane Cook, was born in MichiganG in about 1856.1 She married in Jefferson, Hillsdale County, MichiganG, on 25 November 1875, Rev Fernando Carter.2
Ada's family were enumerated twice in the 1860 census, first on 15 June in Bergen, New York, and then on 16 July in Adams, Michigan. On 15 June 1860 Ada was living in Bergen and was recorded in the census as Ada Sackett, aged four and born in Michigan. She was living with her parents Gilbert and Sabra in the household of Gilbert's parents Charles and Saloma Sackett. On 16 July 1860 she was living in Adams, Hillsdale County, Michigan in the household of her parents Gilbert and Jane, and was recorded as Ada Sackett, aged four and born in Michigan.3,4
In 1870 she was living in Rollin, Lenawee County, MichiganG, in the household of her mother Jane and stepfather William Beaty, and was recorded as Ada Beaty, aged 14 and born in Michigan.5
