David Welch Sackett, son of Gerald Loudon Sackett and Elizabeth Welch, was born in Kelso, Washington StateG, on 23 October 19521 and died aged 55 in Seattle, Washington StateG, on 22 July 2008.1 He married in SeattleG on 1 July 1972, Marilyn Theresa "Terry" Dearey.21

David Welch Sackett was born in Kelso, WA on October 23, 1952; died July 22, 2008 in Seattle. He was diagnosed with ureter cancer two weeks prior to his death. A memorial service was held at the home of his daughter and her family on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Private inurnment to take place October 31, 2008.
Attended Seattle University Honors Program 1969–1971, graduated UW cum laude 1971.
David had a passion for Celtic music and played numerous musical instruments. He read and spoke many languages including Russian, Hebrew, Japanese and Spanish. He was an avid reader and also enjoyed spending a good deal of time out of doors exploring nature. One of his favorite places was Long Beach, WA.
Predeceased by his mother Elizabeth "Betty" (Welch) Sackett, RN deceased 04/01/1986 in Orange, Ca; grandparents R. Daniel Welch, deceased 09/26/1986 and Eve (Eva E.) Welch deceased 02/27/1989 in Lacey, WA; his aunt Carolyn (Welch) Long, deceased 02/08/2008 in Salem, OR; The Welchs resided and were active community members in the Kelso and Longview, WA area since 1908 and were the proprietors of Welch's Men's Clothing until the 1970s.
Survived by daughter Danielle and son-in-law John Otey, grandchildren Christopher and Miranda Otey and ex-wife Terry Sackett of Seattle, WA. Also survived by father Gerald and step-mother Barbara Sackett of Bellevue, WA, brother Doug and sister-in-law Kathy Sackett of Kent, WA; cousins Kevin and his wife Lori Davidson or Oregon City, OR, Mitchell Davidson of Salem, OR and Catherine Davidson.
