Anson L Sackett, son of George Ruggles Sackett and Clarissa (Payne) Woodbury, was born on 30 July 1844.1 He died aged 62 on 19 December 19062 and was buried at Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, Erie County, PennsylvaniaG.2 He married in 1876, Sadie Magee.1
     Anson Sackett served in the American Civil War in the 9th Regiment, New York Cavalry. He entered service on 1 September 1861 and was discharged on 1 June 1865.3
