Marilla L Sackett, daughter of Roland Sacket and Sally Phelps, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, in about 1834.1,2 She died on 9 August 18833 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, WestfieldG.3 She married in WestfieldG on 2 February 1862, John G Hale, son of ___ Hale and Mary A ___.2 John was born in Suffield, ConnecticutG, in about 1838.2
     In 1850 Marilla was living at Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, in the household of her parents Roland and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Marilla Sacket, aged 17 and born in Massachusetts.4
     Marilla was named as a beneficiary in the will of her father Roland made in WestfieldG on 2 May 1882. She was to receive a sum of $100 from her brother Ashmon who was to inherit the estate.5
