Fred Merrill Sackett, son of Harvey Chafy Sackett and Sophia Irene Post, was born in Appleton, Outagamie County, WisconsinG, on 11 February 1871.1 He died aged 87 in Waupaca, WisconsinG, on 4 June 19581 and was buried at Floral Hill Cemetery, New London, Waupaca CountyG, on 7 June 1958.1 He married in New LondonG on 11 August 1894, Kittie Lou Jacobus.1
     In 1880 Fred was living at Appleton, Outagamie County, WisconsinG, in the household of his parents Harvy and Sophia, and was recorded in the census as Fredie Sacket, at school, aged 9 and born in Wisconsin.2
