Erastus E Sacket, son of Rolin Sackett and Lovina Edson, was born in PennsylvaniaG on 2 August 1817.2 He died aged 51 in Luray, Clark County, MissouriG, on 17 April 18692 and was buried at Combs Cemetery, LurayG.2 He married at Rome, Perry County, IndianaG, on 5 March 1848, Isabella Frisby.2
     Erastus served in the Union army in the American Civil War. He was a sergeant in the 1st Missouri Volunteer Infantry, a regiment operating for three months in 1861.3
