James Watson Sackett, farmer, son of Oliver Sackett and Esther Wing, was born in Greene, Chenango County, New York StateG, on 8 March 1838.1 He died aged 70 in Thurston County, Washington StateG, on 2 February 1909 and was buried at Odd Fellows Memorial Park, Tumwater, Thurston County, Washington StateG.1 He married at Forest Home, Antrim County, MichiganG, on 10 June 1876, Lorinda Estella Badgley.2
     In 1850 James was living in Greene, Chenango County, New York StateG, in the household of his parents Oliver and Esther, and was recorded in the census as Jone W Sackett [sic], aged twelve and born in New York.3,4
     In 1860 he was living in GreeneG in the household of his parents Oliver and Esther, and was recorded as James Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 23.5
