Charles L Sackett, son of Mathew Dunham Sackett and Lois Louise Sackett, was born in Henrietta, Jackson County, MichiganG, on 17 March 1856.2 He died in Jackson CountyG on 28 May 1939.2 He married first at Rives Township, Jackson CountyG, on 14 February 1880, Alice E Kilpatrick, daughter of Joseph Kilpatrick and Maria (?).2 Alice was born in IllinoisG in about 1861.2 He married second at Rives Township, Jackson CountyG, on 10 February 1889, Sarah Lurana Striker, daughter of Hugh Striker and Rebecca Chase.2 Sarah was born in Henrietta Township, Jackson CountyG, on 7 July 1872.2 He died in Jackson CountyG.2
     In 1880 Charles was living at Rives, Jackson County, MichiganG, in the household of farmer George and Angela Lee, and was recorded in the census as Charles Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 24 and born in Michigan. He was living with his wife Alice, described as a house servant.3
