Henry Robert Sackett, son of Richard Sackett and Ann Elizabeth Reed, was born in West Ham, EssexG, on 13 December 1873.1,2 He died aged 78 in Essex (South Western Registration District)G in 19523 and was buried at West Ham CemeteryG on 27 March 1952.4

In 1891 he was living at 113 Major Road, Stratford, EssexG, in the household of his parents Richard and Ann, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a carman (employed), aged 18 [actually 17] and born in Stratford.6
In 1901 he was living at 26 Major Road, West Ham, EssexG, in the household of his parents Richard and Ann, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a general labourer, single, aged 29 [actually 27] and born in Stratford.7
In 1911 he was living at 36 Pond Road, West Ham, EssexG, in the household of his sister Matilda, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a labourer, single, aged 38.8
In 1921 he was living at 1 Primrose Place, Angel Lane, West HamG, and was recorded as Henry Robert Sackett, an unemployed labourer, a boarder, aged 51 [actually 47], single.9
At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Henry was living at 135 Odessa Road, West Ham, EssexG. He was disabled and was working as a fruit and vegetable market porter.10
