Sarah Jemima Sackett, daughter of Nathan Sackett and Martha Patricia Duncan, was born in Quincy, Owen County, IndianaG, on 25 September 1838.1 She died aged 85 in Rushville, IllinoisG, on 23 July 1924.1 She married first in Owen CountyG on 2 June 1853, Willis Beels.2,3 She married second in Putnam County, IndianaG, on 23 December 1860, William M Givens.4,5 She married third in Putnam CountyG on 6 February 1873, John Oliver Ashley.6
In 1850 Sarah was living in Cloverdale, Putnam County, IndianaG, in the household of her parents Nathan and Martha, and was recorded in the census as Sarah G Sackett, aged twelve and born in Indiana.7
In 1860 she was living in CloverdaleG in the household of her parents Nathan and Martha, and was recorded as Sarah J Sackett, aged 21. Her daughter Martha Beels, aged five, was living with her.8
In 1870 she was living in CloverdaleG in the household of her parents Nathan and Martha Sackett, and was recorded as Sarah Givens, aged 30. Her children, Martha, 16, William, 9, and Mary, 5, were living with her.9
