William Sackett, son of Charles Sackett and Saloma "Sally" Bascom, was born in Bergen, Genesee County, New York StateG, on 16 May 1821.1 He died aged 80, probably in Vermontville, Eaton County, MichiganG, on 6 March 19021,2 and was buried at Welch Cemetery, Sunfield, Eaton CountyG.2 He married in 1847, Mercy Canfield.1 Mercy was born on 15 February 1825.1 She died aged 65 on 21 January 18911 and was buried at Welch Cemetery, SunfieldG.2
