William Sackett, son of Aaron Sacket and Phebe Hart, was born on 2 September 1800.1 He died aged 62 in Logansport, Cass County, IndianaG, on 29 July 1863.1,2 He married in VermontG on 3 September 1828, Mercy Sleade Earle.1

12720. William Sackett, 1800–1863, son of (714?) Aaron, was born near Rutland, Vt; was married, Sept. 3, 1828, to Mercy Sleade Earle, 1808–1867, a distant relative. In 1839 he removed to Rochester, N.Y., and the following year from thence to Eden Township, La Grange County, Ind, where he settled permanently, on what has since become known as the Sackett Homestead Farm.
