Volney Chace Sacket, son of Frederick Gleason Sacket and Ida A Hess, was born in PennsylvaniaG on 14 September 1878.2,3 He died aged 16 on 26 July 1895.2
     In 1880 Volney was living in Edenburg, Clarion County, PennsylvaniaG, in the household of his parents Fred and Ida, and was recorded in the census as Volney Sacket, aged one and born in Pennsylvania.4
