George Sackett, company director, son of Solomon Sackett and Melissa Fargo, was born on 14 December 1857.1 He died unmarried aged 35 in Colebrook, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, on 3 November 18931 and was buried at the Center Cemetery, ColebrookG.2
George had some assets in the United Kingdom when he died. Letters of administration of his estate were granted in London, EnglandG, on 30 June 1894 to his father Solomon in respect of assets valued at £45. A further grant was made in 1905 to George's mother Melissa, the value of the assets then being £32.3,4
In 1860 George was living in Sandisfield, Berkshire County, MassachusettsG, in the household of his parents Solomon and Melissa, and was recorded in the census as George Sackett, aged two and born in Massachusetts.5
In 1870 he was living in Colebrook, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, in the household of his parents Solomon and Melissa, and was recorded as George Sackett, aged twelve.6
