John Sackett, son of Joel Sackett and Elizabeth "Betsey" Husted, was born in New York StateG in 1808.1,2 He died in 1895.3 He married at Goshen, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, on 16 February 1833, Elizabeth Jane Brown, daughter of Dudley Brown and Ora Daniels.1,4 Elizabeth was born in ConnecticutG in 1815.5,2
In 1880 John was living at Northfield, Rice County, MinnesotaG, and was recorded in the census as John Sackett, head of household, aged 72, and born in New York. Living with him was his wife, Jane E, aged 65, and born in Connecticut.2
