Martin H Sackett, son of Martin Sackett and Eliza Hale, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 20 May 1850.1,2 He died aged 29 on 29 August 1879.2 He married in Holyoke, Hampden CountyG, on 12 November 1874, Jane K Cochrane, daughter of Charles Cochrane and Jane ___.3,4 Jane K Cochrane was born in HolyokeG in about 1853.5
     In 1870 Martin was living in WestfieldG in the household of his parents Martin and Eliza, and was recorded in the census as Henry Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 20 and born in Massachusetts.6
