Sarah Sackett, daughter of Samuel Sackett and Julia Ann Heath, was born in Blue Creek Township, Adams County, IndianaG, on 30 July 1840.1,2,3 She died in 19173 and was buried at the Cedar Friends Cemetery, Randolph County, IndianaG.4 She married on 16 May 1866, Jacob Horner James.3 Jacob was born on 5 September 1831.3 He died on 13 July 19053 and was buried at the Cedar Friends CemeteryG.
     In 1850 Sarah was living at Blue Creek, Adams County, IndianaG, in the household of her parents Samuel and Julia, and was recorded in the census as Sarah Sacket, aged ten and born in Indiana.5
     In 1860 she was living at Blue CreekG in the household of her widowed mother Julia, and was recorded as Sarah Sackett, aged 19.6
