Josephine Sackett, daughter of Rufus Sackett and Frances Parsons, was born in Northampton, Hampshire County, MassachusettsG, on 26 April 1844.1,2 She married first in Springfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 5 November 1861, Chester Loomis, son of Curtis W Loomis and Mary Bowles.3,1 Chester, a railroad man, was born in NorthamptonG on 11 July 1841.3,4 He died aged 34 in Northampton, Hampshire County, MassachusettsG, on 3 May 1876 and was buried at Bridge Street Cemetery, NorthamptonG.4 She married second before 1916, ___ Dickinson.5
In 1850 Josephine was living in NorthamptonG in the household of her parents Rufus and Frances, and was recorded in the census as Josephine Sackett, aged six and born in Massachusetts.6
In 1870 she was living in SpringfieldG in the household of her husband Chester, 30, a railroad fireman, and was recorded as Josephine Loomis, aged 24. Living with them were their children, Howard, 7, and Ann, aged two.7
Josephine was named as a beneficiary in her father's will made in NorthamptonG.8
In 1920 she was living at Knoll Street, Boston, MassachusettsG, in the household of her widowed daughter Anna Hunt, and was recorded as Josephine A Dickinson, a widow, aged 73.9
