John Sackett, son of Justus Sackett and Electa Clark, was born in Northampton, Hampshire County, MassachusettsG, on 8 April 1833.1 He died aged 75 on 29 October 1908 and was buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Springfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG. He married Julia Maria Clark.1 She was born in NorthamptonG about 1837.
In 1860 John was living in Northampton, Hampshire County, MassachusettsG, and was recorded in the census as John Sacket, a mechanic, aged 27, and born in Massachusetts. Living with him were his wife Julia, aged 23, and born in Massachusetts; their children, Emma, 4, and Edward, aged one; John's parents, Justus 56, and Electa, 55; and John's sister Anna, aged 29.2
In 1870 he was living in NorthamptonG and was recorded as John Sackett, a machinist, aged 37, and born in Massachusetts. Living with him were his wife Julia, aged 32, and born in Massachusetts; their children, Emma, 13, Elizabeth, 11, Albert, 7, and Charles, aged one; John's parents, Justus, 63, and Electa, 62; and John's sister Annie, aged 39.3
In 1880 he was living in Springfield, Hampden CountyG, and was recorded as John Sacket, a skate maker, head of household, married, aged 46, and born in Massachusetts.
