George Henry Sackett, son of Isaac Sackett and Mary Johnson, was born on 24 August 1826.1 He died aged 81 in Providence, Rhode IslandG, on 10 May 19082 and was buried at Swan Point Cemetery, ProvidenceG.2 He married at Providence, Rhode IslandG, on 27 July 1857, Sarah Sweetser Sheldon.1

[George Sackett] was, from 1855 to 1878, a member of the firm of Sackett, Davis & Co., jewelry manufacturers, of Providence, R. I., and is the inventor of the Sackett fountain pen.
