Frances Sarah Sacket, daughter of Gad/James Sacket and Sally Jenette Parker, was born in Marine, Madison County, IllinoisG, on 23 November 1846.1 She died aged 88 in Chicago, Cook County, IllinoisG, on 13 August 1935 and was buried at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, Porter County, IndianaG, on 15 August 1935.2 She married at St Louis, MissouriG, on 28 March 1872, Warren Webster Dee.3 Warren was born in IowaG in September 18444 and died aged about 81 in 1925.5
In 1850 Frances was living in Marine Settlement, Madison County, IllinoisG, in the household of her parents James and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Frances S Sacket, aged three and born in Illinois.6
In 1860 she was living in Marine Settlement, Madison County, IllinoisG, in the household of her parents James and Sally, and was recorded as Frances S Sackett, aged 14.7
In 1870 she was living in Marine SettlementG in the household of her father James, and was recorded as F S Sackett, aged 23.8
In 1880 she was living in Pocahontas, Bond County, IllinoisG, in the household of her husband Warren, 35, a school teacher, and was recorded as Frances S Dee, aged 33, Living with them were their children, Mary Jane, 7, and Orville, aged four.9
In 1900 she was living in Valley, Pratt County, KansasG, in the household of her husband Warren, 55, a farmer, and was recorded as Fransis [sic] Dee, aged 53. Living with them were their children, Mary, 26, Clarissa, 14, and Walter, aged seven. They owned their home free of mortgage There was also a male farm laborer in the household.10
In 1910 she was living at Elmhurst Avenue, Valparaiso, Porter County, IndianaG, in the household of her husband Warren, 65, and was recorded as Frances Dee, aged 63. Living with them were their unmarried daughters, Mary, 36, and Cressie, aged 24.11
In 1920 she was living at Elmhurst Avenue, ValparaisoG, in the household of her husband Warren, 75, an insurance agent, and was recorded as Frances Lee [an enumeration error], aged 73. Living with them were their unmarried daughter Mary, 46, and Frances's unmarried sister Clarissa [incorrectly listed as Theresa], aged 80. They were living next door to Warren and Frances's son Orville [also incorrectly listed as Lee].12
In 1930 she was living at Elmhurst Avenue, ValparaisoG, and was recorded as Frances Dee, a widow, head of household, aged 83. Living with her were her unmarried daughter Mary, 56, and a widowed niece, Pearl Barnett, 60.13
