Edith Louisa Sackett, daughter of George Sackett and Louisa Else, was born in Faversham, KentG, in 18771 and baptized at Preston-next-FavershamG on 7 October 1877.2 She married in Birchington, KentG, on 17 October 1897, John Harrap Castle.3,4
     In 1881 Edith was living at Chapel Street, Preston-next-Faversham, KentG, in the household of her mother Louisa, and was recorded in the census as Edith L Sackett, aged three and born in Preston.5
     In 1891 she was living at 34 Tanner Street, Faversham, KentG, in the household of her parents George and Louisa, and was recorded as Edith Sackett, a scholar, aged 13 and born in Preston, Kent.6
