Philip Henry Sackett Sandford, son of Rev Henry Stanley Sandford and Sarah Annie "Daisy" Sackett, was born in Mirfield, YorkshireG, on 23 June 1909.1,2 He died aged 82 in Sheffield, YorkshireG, in 1991.3 He married at SheffieldG in 1952, Dorothy Cowlishaw.4,5
     In 1911 Philip was living at Saintesbury, 2 Buchanan Street, Ramsbottom, LancashireG, in the household of his parents Henry and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Philip Henry Sandford, aged one and born in Mirfield.6
