Irene Wilbraham Sandford, daughter of Rev Henry Stanley Sandford and Sarah Annie "Daisy" Sackett, was born in Hunslet, Leeds, YorkshireG, on 16 May 19021 and baptized at Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, HunsletG, on 1 July 1902.2 She died aged 101 in Sheffield, YorkshireG, in September 2003.3 She was unmarried.
     In 1911 Irene was living at Saintesbury, 2 Buchanan Street, Ramsbottom, LancashireG, in the household of her parents Henry and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Irene Wilbraham Sandford, aged eight and born in Leeds.4
