Edward James Sutton, son of Wilsie John Sutton and Elizabeth Hannah Jones, was born in Nantyglo, MonmouthshireG, on 2 November 1916.1,2,3 He died aged 84 in MonmouthG in November 2000.4
     In 1921 he was living at 39 Garn Road, NantygloG, in the household of his parents Wilsie and Elizabeth, and was recorded as Edward James Sutton, aged four and born in Nantyglo.5
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Edward was living at 74 The Hill, Ebbw Vale, MonmouthshireG, in the household of John and Ethel Matthews. He was a stocker in the steelworks.6
